Ice Hammer

Who knew a coconut crab would evolve into a coconut-crab? Oh, Nintendo, you've done it again, haven't you? Only you!

I'm perpetually at odds about how to feel about Crabominable. I think the simple answer is, I like it a lot, but not as much as its pre-evolution, Crabrawler. Crabrawler has, since its reveal in the Alola teasers, cemented itself as one of my favorite Alolan Pokemon. It's quite the defiance of my normal prospects, as crabs are potentially my least favorite animal on the planet (some fear spiders, but there is another that leaves old Tom shuddering at night). 

Moving right along, I used Crabrawler the entire game and slowly deduced how it must evolve on my own means, which I must say was one of the most Pokemon-y Pokemon experiences I've ever Pocket Monster'd. And it was a super cliché moment too, but that's a story for another time.

Crabominable, irrespective of a 12-letter name, and strange hippo teeth, and FISTS, is a real groovy cryo-crustacean with an awesome type combination. It truly feels like a unique Pokemon, and though it's vastly outclassed by others, it certainly feels cool.
