Star Chaser

"Humans have evolved to become the most intelligent creatures on the planet. But sometimes, our tremendous minds overthink, and lead to our downfalls. Intellectual as we are, we are still just blocks--part of something much bigger. It's absolutely fine to feel like the world is caving in on you, sometimes. Just remember: You're not alone. As isolated as you feel sometimes, someone, somewhere, is always caring about you. I speak from experience, I've been there, so I just wanted to let you know. At times it just feels imprisoning to live the way one does, especially now, at such a crucial stage in your life. But this is the time where we can make a change--we, the next generation of inspirations, the music makers, the dreamers of dreams. You've come so far already, just keep going, and you'll make it where you want to be. But also keep in mind, it's the journey that matters, not the destination."


This was a birthday present for a friend, but I feel I need to share most of what I wrote on the back of the drawing.


I'm gonna get straight to the point: This year has been really hard on me mentally and emotionally. I rarely go on DA, and when I do now it's for short periods of time. I'm doing alright now, but I wasn't too great for the past five months or so. Anyway, HOPEFULLY I'm gonna be able to do some holiday season drawings and get back into the swing of things in three weeks, once exams are over. I know I keep promising I will, and I never do. I honestly want to but I haven't had the time, and I'm sorry to everyone who follows me or looks at my art in general. But for now, this was just something I needed to do for myself, as well as for everyone else struggling with any sort of stress.
